Abstract

Education is a very important and essential factor for the all-round development of a person's personality. This personality will develop especially in cases where the teaching will be qualitative and in accordance with the conditions, psycho-physical abilities of the students, their inclinations, interests, and goals. In addition to compulsory subjects, students in schools also have elective subjects that enable them to develop additional skills and knowledge. The research subject in this paper is how elective subjects will affect the psycho-physical development of students. To reflect this impact of elective subjects, we will use the method of theoretical analysis, the descriptive method. The instruments and techniques that will enable us to achieve the results are a survey with teachers who implement elective subjects in primary education, including from grade IV to grade IX. We will present the results achieved in a tabular format to have a clear overview of how teachers have responded regarding elective subjects, how they are selected, how they are implemented, whether they have the conditions to implement such a thing, whether teachers are prepared regarding these, etc.
