Abstract
The monumental plastic art produced during the period of State socialism in Albania (1945–1990), beyond its commemorative role of honoring important events and figures that left their mark on the old and modern national history, was primarily intended to be used by the monist State of the time in the service of its momentary ideological interests and affirmations.
